Yandy is up to its old tricks and treats.

The online costume and lingerie seller has pushed the envelope with controversial Halloween outfits before, such as last year’s provocative spin on the red cloaks and white bonnets worn by the Handmaids in Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” that sparked backlash for joking about women being forced into sexual servitude.

This year, Yandy is targeting the Operation Varsity Blues college-admissions scandal that has seen actress Felicity Huffman sentenced to two weeks in prison for paying $15,000 to change her daughter’s SAT scores. “Full House” star Lori Loughlin is waiting in the wings for her trial, where she and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli are charged with paying $500,000 to get their daughters into college as members of the rowing team, even though neither girl ever participated in crew.

The titillating “College Scandal Costume” transforms an orange prison jumpsuit into a crop top with “Mom of the Year” crossed out, and the word “INMATE” stamped below it on the bust, which is paired with skintight orange leggings.

“Oops, you can’t always trust those motherly instincts. Turns out fame and intelligence don’t go hand in hand!” reads the $69.95 costume’s description on Yandy.com. “Bribe your way to the admissions office and score the ultimate scholarly achievement (the best mom award!).”

The retailer took even more pointed shots at Loughlin in particular on Twitter

on Wednesday. “Can’t row your way out of this one,” it tweeted with the hashtag #FullJailHouse.

The button-pushing lingerie and costume company has a few more topical new get-ups up its sleeve this year that are clearly intended to get tongues wagging.

The controversial costumes include a riff on the Beyond Meat

and Impossible Foods plant-based burger feeding frenzy that’s rocked fast food restaurants and supermarket shelves. The “Beyond Burger” costume ($49.95) includes a form-fitting strapless minidress printed to look like a hamburger, topped off with a little flag that says “Plant Based” that the wearer puts on her head.

“You may think this is impossible, but it’s not! Be the yummiest artificial patty between buns in this exclusive Beyond Burger costume,” reads the description.

Or there’s the “Nicest Neighbor” costume, which turns the beloved, family-friendly “Mister Rogers Neighborhood” persona — who is about to brought back to life by Tom Hanks in Sony’s

coming “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” movie — into a much more risqué character. The sexy Mister Rogers costume ($59.95) cuts the children’s show host’s signature sweater and slacks down to a midriff-baring cardigan with a plunging neckline, and a pair of booty-flaunting gray hot pants.

“Entice your friends next door with your playful puppets,” says the cheeky description.

Yandy is tapping into that lucrative Halloween market. Americans are expected to drop just under $9 billion on the holiday this year, the National Retail Federation reports, including $3.2 billion on costumes. And more than a third (35%) find their Halloween costume inspiration online.
