Job Purpose
Our electricity transmission business needs a modern solution offering flexibility across jurisdictions while implementing best practices. Our colleagues who work in the field have traditionally relied on a series of manual, paper-based processes involving non-integrated systems to complete their work. You will be part of the OnMyWay team that is fixing that! We have a transformative digital product which enables our colleagues to pick up and complete jobs in real time from their devices!
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with development teams and business units to identify, define, develop, modify, and implement reusable Services and APIs
- Design and build backend system integration solutions with an emphasis on scalability and operability
- Ensure the responsiveness, reliability, and performance of applications
- Perform activities ranging from software design, operating architecture integration, and technology selection
- Work in an Agile Scrum environment as we work towards a Continuous Integration/Deployment model
- You will be seen as a leader and subject matter expert in API knowledge and will mentor engineers
What you’ll need
- 7+ years of experience demonstrating responsibility for developing solutions in support of large-scale software development projects, this includes development of technical requirements, testing and integration plans using Agile methodologies
- Experience with database optimization, schema design, and query building
- Hands on experience building restful API’s and services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud-computing services, such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
- Native iOS development
- React, TypeScript, Node.js, .NET
- Experience with scripting languages like Python

Salary
$142,000 – $200,000 a year
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
