Looking for Licensed Practical Nurses with or without detox experience to fill an opening in a Drug Rehabilitation clinic. You must be licensed by the State of New York with no stipulations. You will be responsible for the healthcare of both female and male clients struggling with addiction and mental health issues. You must be able to adhere to the plan of care set forth by the physician on all physician orders, medications and treatments. You must be able to perform all duties independently and use safe practice standards according to the Nurse Practice Act.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Professional appearance, aptitude and attitude
- Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relations skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy and ability to use an EMR
- Knowledge of “best practices” behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologies
- Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to understand the requirements of the clientele
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Timely and complete medical record documentation
- Uses clinical judgment to manage delivery of patient care safely and effectively
- Oral and written communication skills to convey patient progress and needs
- Ability to be on call for patients and staff
- Participation in Peer Review process
- Ability to work well with the Behavioral Health Technicians
- Adherence to facility policy and procedures, State & Federal law, and Joint Commission regulations and standards
Qualifications:
- Unexpired US Passport, Permanent Resident Card, Driver’s Licence/ID or Work Permit
- LPN license and registration
- Current physical examination (must include vital signs, ppd, drug screen, mmr titres and influenza documentation/declination)
- Social Security Card
- CPR certification
- Malpractice Insurance
- Two reference letters (one professional and one personal)
- Resume
Compensation $39.00 an hour
