This financial law firm needs a Lead Frontend Engineer to help scale their SaaS product that manages and monitors complex trading agreements. This is an in-office position in their downtown Chicago, IL office.
Organizations moving into derivative trading, making financial transactions on a regular basis, or navigating the terms of complex agreements often need guidance navigating regulations. This firm’s SaaS product was designed to monitor and manage the credit, operation, risk, and legal terms of those complex trading agreements (ie. ISDA). As their Lead Frontend Engineer, you’d be responsible for the frontend development necessary to scale the application up alongside the CTO and backend lead. You’ll primarily be using React and TypeScript to update the existing codebase and contribute reliable, new features. Bonus points for an interest in or experience working in the fintech or legal space. Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience with software development
- 5+ years of experience with React.js
- 4+ years of experience with TypeScript
- 2+ years working with a SaaS product
- B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

- Experience leading a team or project from inception to delivery
- Experience working in fintech w/ an emphasis on security
- Experience working in a legal space
- Strong communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills
