Our client has been a leader within the distribution industry for over 100 years and they are continuing to grow! They are looking for knowledgeable, qualified Accounting Associate to be part of their business.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE:

$55,000 – $68,000

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Business is expanding, and our customer is looking for incredible individuals to join the team and continue their success story! They are currently looking to add an Accounting Associate to the team. The Accounting Associate will perform tasks related to the maintenance and processing of both account receivable and accounts payable records along with some general ledger postings.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE:

  • Process and post all expense related (non-inventory)
  • Accounts Payable Offset AR & AP between customers and vendors
  • Bill and manage system for vendor rebate tracking; import into GL and reconcile
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Daily banking (ACH review/reporting, maintenance of outstanding check list)
  • Monthly close of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts Independently perform research and resolve issues using multiple data sources and systems
  • Ability to use logical methods to address problems and develop effective solutions
  • Able to prepare a completed reconciliation on a monthly basis in addition to ad hoc requests
  • Proficient ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Run and analyze reports as required
  • Must be able to handle working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change
  • Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE:

  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • General understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • One or more years of experience in Finance and/or Accounts Receivable

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
