Our client is a leading biopharmaceutical company looking to add a Senior Accountant. The individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be an effective communicator. An experienced professional who can effectively work independently and will be comfortable working directly with the CFO and CEO is an absolute must.
SALARY/HOURLY RATE:
$35/hr – $40/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Applicants for the Senior Accountant position must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Our client is looking for some 3 – 5 years of Senior Accountant-level experience. The ideal candidate should be hardworking and comfortable with meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:
- Prepare financial analyses and reports
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Perform input, maintenance, and review of fixed assets
- Responsible for updating/reviewing the forecast possibly on a weekly, monthly, and year-end basis
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel skills
- Multifaceted experience with various accounting software
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience
- Master’s in accounting, and certifications are a plus
