Our client, an industry-leading household and personal care product manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Customer Service Representative with the mechanical aptitude to support their product helpline. They are seeking a Technical Customer Service Representative who can assist customers with making choices about the best products to use and to troubleshoot through mechanical situations. SALARY/HOURLY RATE:
$20/hr – $23/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Technical Customer Service Representative will act as a product expert and respond in a timely manner to technical inquiries using phone, email, and web chats. The Technical Customer Service Representative requires some mechanical savvy but will be provided training on the product lines they will be supporting. Strong customer service skills are necessary in addition to technical acumen.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TECHNICAL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:
- Provide timely and positive customer service through phone, email, and chat
- Talk customers through product options and provide technical support for those products
- Provide onsite technical training as needed
- Collaborate across departments while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE TECHNICAL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:
- Ability to work remotely and independently
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to customers
- Customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Some product knowledge is helpful
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good follow-through when addressing customer issues and when to escalate
