What you’ll do

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with exceptional knowledge of .NET framework 5, 6, 7 or Core to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient and reliable code for our technology product-focused environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and architectural principles for building scalable applications.

Key Accountabilities include:

• You will be a part of performing complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer system application software for a large utility company that is digitizing and modernizing the grid!
• You will work on software design, operating architecture integration, and selection of computer systems.
• You will be a large part of architecture conversations.
• You will apply knowledge of one or more technologies, and of one or more platforms and programming languages. (ex: .Net).
• Design and implement a robust and scalable API layer for global consumption

What you’ll need

• 8+ years of technical contribution in a structured team environment
• Exceptional knowledge of .NET framework 5, 6, 7, or Core
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, Skill for writing reusable libraries and the ability to write CLEAN code
• Experience within a lead function and taking the lead on projects
• True understanding of the SOLID principles
• Excellent understanding of distributed system design
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server including data modeling, SQL query design, optimization, and LINQ queries
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
• Microsoft Azure DevOps experience is a plus
• Microsoft Azure Data Factory experience is a big plus
• Experience with IIoT and OT is a huge plus
• Familiarity with various industrial electrical concepts is a huge plus
• Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer an academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical field is a nice to have

Salary

$142,000 – $200,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
