Job Overview:
At LPL Financial we consider it our mission to take care of our advisors so they can take care of their client. Joining as Senior Software Engineer – API/Data Services, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the sustainable, scalable products and capabilities that support our advisors to deliver excellent services for their investors.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, tune and implement n-tiered web-based applications while collaborating with Development, Enterprise Architecture and Product teams
Assess opportunities for application and process improvements and prepare SDLC documentation
Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing systems
Work collaboratively with QA, DevOPS teams to adopt CI/CD tool chain and develop automation
Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project support
Design and develop core services and components with expertise in service-oriented architecture
Design patterns and coding best practices.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex systems accompanied by a Bachelor’s degree or Master Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related field.
3+ years of experience working with Python, Docker, AWS Services like AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EKS, S3, AWS Fargate, RDS, etc.
3+ years of experience designing applications, developing web services (REST/SOAP), and integrating with vendor APIs as well as an excellent understanding of SOA principles, Microservices and design patterns
5+ years of excellent understanding and writing of SQL server procedures, views, functions and designing skills, caching and exception handling
Core Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Motivated and driven by achieving long-term business outcomes
Capable of effectively planning, prioritizing and executing tasks utilizing resources and tools
Preferences:
Experience with Agile using JIRA
.NET 6, ELK Stack, TeamCity, TFS, GIT
Master data management (MDM)
Experience in Message queue implementations (Kafka)

Pay Range: $96,800-$145,200/year
The salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including the applicant’s skill, experience, and work location.
