Job Description:

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • 6+ years of continuous Java development experience on large/medium sized projects
  • Proficient in full stack development preferably having experience creating REST based services using Java/Spring/Spring Boot, UI development using React
  • Experience deploying cloud native applications in Pivotal Cloud Foundry and experience building Kubernetes containers is a strong plus
  • Ability to fully deliver (designing, developing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting) applications that satisfy business requirements
  • Experience reviewing code, leading small teams and mentoring junior developers in implementation and problem solving
  • Strong familiarity and knowledge of cloud native design and micro service design patterns
  • Hands on Experience in Restful Architecture and API development
  • Experience building Integration Tests and Unit Tests using JUnit
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Version Control tools (Bitbucket, Git), Code Scan tools like Sonar and Fortify
  • Experience with Maven, JIRA, GIT/Bit Bucket and CI Tools and Messaging
  • Experience working in an Agile Development environment and able to contribute/facilitate Agile ceremonies
  • Experience in databases with Relational Databases including DML, DDL, and PL/SQL preferred
  • Basic experience in operating Unix systems, file navigation, shell scripting, network troubleshooting (curl, telnet)
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • AWS Certification and experience using/operating API Gateway (APIGEE) is a plus
