Job Description

Hiring Location: This position is based out of New York, NY. We use a hybrid work model.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of one of several teams that builds and maintains the integrations to Financial Institutions that power our products. This engineering team works closely with other product and commercial teams.

What You Will Do

• Develop connections to financial institutions from Day 1, together with your colleagues and product team, to lay the foundation for innovation.
• Identify and support improvements for how we build connections today to make them ever more reliable, scalable and maintainable in the future
• Collaborate with senior technical staff and product managers to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved
• Deploy software multiple times per day!
• Work with technologies such as: Java, AWS, Cassandra, Memcached, Bazel, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Docker, gRPC, and MySQL – with all our microservices running on Kubernetes

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ industry experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or a related subject field) – OR – at least 1 year of industry experience with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science (or a related subject field)
• Alternatively, in lieu of a degree, you have 5 years’ equivalent work experience with certification from a coding academy or bootcamp
• Experience with Java and Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Container Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and AWS
• Experience with HTTP based communications
• Experience with CI/CD methodologies
• Experience in designing and testing APIs
• Experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks,
• Experience in managing application development and software delivery lifecycle
• An understanding of Object Oriented Concepts, and Service Oriented Architectures,
• Familiarity with Github
• Experience with any of the following: Memcached, Cassandra, Bazel, or Elasticsearch

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 111,400 to 142,000 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Work Location: This position is located in our New York office, but we accept hybrid setups.
