About Your Business Area/Department:

Amadeus Flight Information Display System is designed to display flight information throughout an airport. You will be researching, designing, developing, and operating computer software system. You focus will be on Amadeus FIDS for usage in airports around the world. Candidates should be interested in working in an evolving landscape of different technologies and platforms. The FIDS solution heavily uses web technologies to achieve the product goals and support multiple OSs for deployment of the workstations. The FIDS solution allows end users to create rules which drive what data and how that data is displayed on the monitors in a flexible manner.

In this role you’ll:

• Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Design and implement interfaces and middleware software for the integration of Amadeus Airport IT products into the airport/aviation industry and operating environments.
• Provide guidance and assistance to junior team members with technical and design problems
• Coordinate installation of software systems
• Apply generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation

About the ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree from four test college or university or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of rule base systems
• Knowledge of airport and airline operations
• Knowledge of Amadeus Airport Management System and/or Amadeus legacy operational systems is a big plus
• Intermediate or higher
• Java and HTML5/CSS/JavaScript experience
• Modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular, VueJS
• RDBMS experience (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server)
• Multi-tier software architecture
• JEE and Spring frameworks
• Agile Methodology of software development
• Experience in networking, security, database and cloud systems
• Experience in rule-based systems
• Demonstrates interest and experience in learning new technologies and methodologies
• Innovative thinker within an established framework
• Strong team player with collaborative mindset
• Fat, thorough and autonomous learner who also understands prioritization
• Natural technical leader; a “go to” person for management and peers alike
