PrideStaff is looking for a Facilities Grounds Assistant to perform a variety of lawn care work and other general maintenance and mechanical duties for one of our clients in the Fort Myers Metro area.
This is a seasonal direct hire position
Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 2:30 pm
Pay Rate: $20/hr.
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Experience: 1 year
Facilities Grounds Assistant Responsibilities may include:
- Mows and trims trees, bushes and shrubs
- Edges sidewalks, parking lots and other paved areas
- Rakes, mulches and clears walkways and trails
- Performs minor repairs and maintenance on lawn care equipment and tools
- Plants grass, trees, bushes and / or shrubs as needed
- Repairs and maintains irrigation system as needed
- Performs maintenance on drainage system as needed
- Picks up litter from the grounds
- Performs a variety of maintenance duties to maintain
- Other duties as assigned
Facilities Grounds Assistant Qualifications:
- Must have sufficient computer skills
- Must be able to operate a variety of small equipment, tools and vehicles such as edgers, trimmers, weed eaters, lawn mowers, chain saws, utility vehicles, etc.
- Must have a class E Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to perform heavy physical activity on a regular bases including lifting up to fifty pounds
- Must be able to work outside and regular exposure to all types of weather, including high temperatures and humidity
