Location: Leander, TX

We are seeking a Patient Services Collection Specialist located in the beautiful city of Leander. In this role, you will be responsible for timely daily patient AR resolutions, for seeking a resolution to patient inquiries while ensuring excellent communication by ensuring client satisfaction. You will also be responsible for researching patient balances, making payment arrangements, collecting on accounts, and monitoring and pursuing delinquent accounts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answers patient in-coming calls and correspondence regarding their account
• Works Patient A/R reports per assigned client
• Performs detailed audits of accounts and ensures timely follow-ups
• Maintains tickler file and ensures timely follow-up in-house collection accounts, patient inquiries, and patient AR and past due balances
• Maintains working day-to-day knowledge of the practice management system. (Misys Tiger) a Radiation Oncology coding
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. (Misys & Rad Onc Coding)
• Ensures compliance with RC Billing Reimbursement Policies and Procedures to maximize efficiency.
• Ensures State and Federal regulations are complying
• Maintains confidentially of all information related to patients, medical staff, and finances
• Strives to achieve and maintain company Days Sales Outstanding and Account Receivable Aging standards

Requirements You Will Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two (2) years of applicable medical CBO experience
• Knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding
• Knowledge of organization policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of Allscripts, Allscripts Pro PM, Mysis/Tiger and Practice EDI Insight preferred
• Knowledge of health care administration principles
• Knowledge of business office procedures
• Knowledge of insurance agency operating procedures and practices
• Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, discretion, decision–making and organizational skills to achieve
• business unit objectives
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally when identifying and resolving problems
• Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with all employees and
• clients
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
