Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus is now accepting applications for Lead Software Engineer. The Lead Software Engineer designs complex systems and integrations with a high level of reliability, execution, speed, and ease of use. This position oversees the performance and operation of multiple systems and provides leadership to junior software engineer and developers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads a group of software engineers in design and development of complex software applications and system integrations.
- Designs and implements applications according to customer’s specifications.
- Works with functional owners to leverage existing applications or recommend new solutions to improve or enhance business processes.
- Determines clear, achievable goals and objectives of each project.
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, and implements corrective measures to maintain an efficient operational environment.
- Plans and organizes business workflow to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Defines new coding standards and optimum methods of problem solving.
- Develops and maintains documentation on requirements, functional and technical specifications, and testing procedures.
- Researches new technologies, determines potential impact on current business processes and recommends as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems or a related field and seven (7) years of progressive experience in systems analysis and programming.
