Lead Nurse Practitioner

Type: Full-time, W2

Salary: $114,400 annually

Responsibilities:

Please note – this role is fluid depending on staffing, patient volume, and clinical/ administration needs.

  • Assist Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) with updating or creating new resources and training materials for all clinical staff as needed based on new guidelines or services (i.e., Bivalent COVID booster, Monkeypox, STI testing, mental health, preventative medicine, pain management, genetic testing, etc.)
  • Ensure clinical policies and procedures comply with the current requirements, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Identify and recommend updated policies and procedures as needed to ensure quality compliance, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with CCO to identify trends and establish priorities to develop and implement quality improvement projects.
  • Assist CCO with developing and enhancing the orientation process, training materials, continued education, and ongoing coaching and mentoring for all clinical staff.
  • Serves as a mentor and provides guidance, resources, knowledge, and support to all clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with CCO to establish the Nurse Practitioner’s schedules every 6-8 weeks to ensure coverage of all shifts.
  • Monitor daily performance and productivity of telehealth NPs to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely.
  • Complete scheduled telehealth visits, on-demand calls, and serve as a back-up NP as needed due to staffing needs including vacations, illnesses, lunches, etc.
  • Assist with 2nd round interviews for clinical staff after HR has completed screening interview and before 3rd round interview with CCO.
  • Collaborate with CCO to create resources and a training program for non-clinical staff that interact with patients (i.e., registration, medical receptionist, external call center team, etc.) that covers various topics, including but not limited to patient and phone etiquette, methods for effective communication with patients and healthcare team, de-escalation techniques, HIPAA compliance, urgent vs nonurgent chief complaints, and utilization of EMR and technology platforms.
  • Support with additional tasks as needed.
  • This position is remote/telehealth, but you must reside in the state of IL and be able to commute for onsite training
