Cook: 5a-1:30p, 12p-8p, Split Shift (4 days 2 days off)

Cortex will assist & match you with a fantastic cooking job at a skilled nursing & rehabilitation facility and navigate the process with you!

Available Shift times: 5a-1:30p, 12p-8p, Split Shift, Work 2 AM shifts & then 2 PM shifts. 4 days on then 2 days off

Pay depending on experience, ranging from $15-$16 per hour.

Cortex is looking for Cooks with the following qualities & skills:

• Knowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures at which ingredients must be kept and to which food must be prepared to avoid foodborne illness
• Cooking experience in large quantities is required
• Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating on complex dishes
• Interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of other people
• Calm demeanor to work in a fast-paced environment
• Accountability for the dishes they prepare measuring up to the expectations of management and patients alike
• Comprehension and organization to follow direct orders and recipes and to correctly prepare dishes to the standards of the facility
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools, such as knife techniques for chopping, slicing, cutting and dicing
• Ability to stand in one place for hours at a time and work shifts
