Job Summary

Our Construction Management team is seeking an experienced Business/Commercial Analyst to join our project teams on various infrastructure rail & transit projects. Previous and related work experience from construction, engineering, architecture, or consulting services company is essential. While the primary job responsibility is creating and maintaining dashboards, contracts compliance, negotiation & transactional support, you will be part of a new and growing team of professionals within our Project Controls Scheduling Department supporting multiple projects and clients. This position can be worked remote/hybrid in with responsibilities in Chicago but will report into the New York, NY Office.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

Perform construction schedule reviews for ongoing projects and provide opinions, advice and reports on project progress and forecasts.

Prepare a forensic schedule delay analysis.

Analyze or prepare complex construction delay/disruption/acceleration and cost claims.

Calculate damages including escalation, extended general conditions, under absorbed home office overhead and labor overruns.

Analyze Change Orders.

Responsible for the complex review and analysis of project documentation and schedules, and the generation of analysis reports, presenting findings to clients and assisting in claim negotiations with opposing parties.

Provide estimate validation and adjustments and comparative cost analyses.

Provide overview of clients’ schedules for as-planned schedule validation, labor productivity, critical path delay and acceleration.

Provide mentoring to junior-level staff or provide direction to other less experienced schedulers.

Interface effectively with clients, coworkers, and others.

Perform other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions and additional duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related degree required.

Proficiency in Primavera P6 is a must.

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in scheduling, delay analysis, productivity analysis, or the resolution of claims and disputes.

Ability to quickly understand construction contracts, and principals of contractor means and methods.

Experience on large, complex construction projects.

Exceptional written and verbal communications and organizational skills.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $117,300 to $175,900 annually for this position and local market.
