Job Description
Clayton Services is searching for an Automation Software Engineer/Programmer to join a thriving company in the Houston, Texas area.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $95,000-$115,000/year

Automation Software Engineer/Programmer Responsibilities:

• Program complex control systems using Rockwell Automation products, Beckhoff products, and Ignition SCADA products
• Other related tasks as assigned

Automation Software Engineer/Programmer Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and understand Process Flow Diagrams, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and Electrical Schematics
• Ability to assist in training client personnel on the operation of the system
• Ability to travel as required on a project basis to assist in initial checking of devices and initial operation of the system
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to successfully work as part of a team
• Ability to configure, tune, and startup complex control systems at client sites
• Bilingual in English, Spanish, and/or German, a plus

Automation Software Engineer/Programmer Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field and experience in process control solutions required
• Experience with Rockwell Automation Control Logix platform of automation controllers
• Experience with Rockwell Automation FTView (SE and ME) platform of HMI applications
• Experience with Beckhoff control
• Experience with Ignition SCADA systems
• Experience with field instrumentation (E&H, Rosemount, etc.) which is connected to the process automation controls systems
• Experience with Rockwell Automation FTBatch software is a plus
• Experience with Rockwell Automation Plant PAx object library is a plus
