Advanced Practice Nurse (APN)

Job Summary: The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), who will be working in a community outpatient healthcare setting, serving the child population up to age 17. Under the supervision of a licensed Physician, the APN will provide medical services within the scope of the licensing, training, credentialing, current standards of care, and quality criteria of the employer. Responsibilities include: determination and documentation of evidence of psychopathology leading to a diagnostic formulation; assessment of client needs and options for meeting those needs, in consultation and collaboration with other providers, if indicated; discussion with the client of findings and recommendations in a patient-centered manner; carrying out an appropriate treatment plan, with the informed consent of the client; and documenting in a prescribed manner the interactions during sessions and progress of treatment. The successful candidate will discuss his/her opinions and/or findings with fellow clinical staff, provide direction to and work collaboratively with assigned support staff, and participate with the treatment team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Unit Manager(s) and the Supervising Physician to define and deliver quality clinical medical care for all clients within the unit(s).
Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:
Required:
- Graduated with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
Licenses:
Required:
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse-Psychiatric Mental Health or Physician Assistant in Texas.
- DEA licenses.
- Current and valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
Experience:
Required:
- Demonstrated capabilities in medical practice and clinical administration and management.
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience.
- Meets all other criteria for employment and medical staff appointment, as appropriate.
- Bilingual in Spanish
Hours: Full-Time; Workhours; 8:00AM – 5:00PM Workdays; Monday – Friday
Salary: $123,361.00 – $182,062.65 annually.
