Senior Software Engineer

MarketAxess Corporation seeks Senior Software Engineers in New York, NY.

• Develop and maintain the company’s fixed income e-trading platform for products including credit and corporate bonds
• Develop the order entry/management system, product enhancements and new workflows for trading, serverside programming and messaging
• Perform above duties utilizing Oracle, Java, Swing, AWS, Kafka, Spring Boot, ReactJS, Ant, server-side and client-to-server technology, multi-threading, GUI screens
• Production support, investigating and fixing production issues
• Co-ordinate with business analysts and quality assurance on a daily basis
• Present technical designs of work performed to the various groups (including Development, QA, BA and the business)

Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field and experience in the following: Java (60 months); Familiarity with streaming technologies such as Kafka and preferably KStreams (12 months); Experience with microservices using Spring Boot and deploying microservices into Docker containers (12 months); Use of frontend technologies such as React and GraphQ (12 months); Experience with communication/messaging protocols, such as FIX, HL7, NCPDP, SWIFT, or REST (36 months); AWS experience (12 months); Knowledge of Kubernetes or a similar container orchestration platform (24 months); Proficiency with CI/CD toolsets (24 months); History of working in a SAFe, Kanban, DevOps, or Agile/Scrum development methodology environment (24 months).

Salary range: $190,000 – $225,000 per year.
