Travel Agent – Asheville – 1st Shift – $14.00/hr. + Bonus

PrideStaff is currently recruiting for an Travel Agent for a local travel benefit company. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer focused individual that is self motivated, outgoing, and goal oriented.  Bonuses paid based on performance.  

Job Summary:  Responsible for speaking on the phone to discuss vacation packages and offer services related to travel.  No cold calling or selling to cold prospects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Speaks to existing members and potential customers who call us in response to advertisements and travel inquiries.
• Deliver and perform script with necessary adjustments to ensure consistency of the sales program.
• Explain products, services, prices, answer questions from members and potential customers and offer simple upsells.
• Accurately record names, addresses, purchases, and layaway agreements – perform follow-up procedures as necessary
• Assisting members in finding the lowest fare
• Processing cancellations
• Upgrading rooms and packages

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Telemarketing and/or phone sales experience a plus
• Excellent phone manner and articulation
• Strong communication skills
• Strong customer service, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Present a professional and polished yet friendly demeanor
• Strong multi-task and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
