This is a Systems/Software Quality Engineering position
supporting the LM Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS)
F-35 Training Systems (TS) Program, based in Orlando,
FL.
The position will interface directly with F-35 Training
Systems (TS) Quality Program Management on
Engineering Quality Assurance (EQA) work
tasks/priorities and functionally reports to the LM RMS
EQA Center of Excellence (COE) Manager for F-35 TS.
Will be expected to quickly come-up to speed with the
F-35 TS products, System/Software EQA work scope,
technical requirements, program risks, proposal
support, customer interactions, Systems & Software
Quality Assurance (SSQA) leadership, and deliver per
schedule milestones. The F-35 Quality Engineer’s
responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identify root causes and associated corrective
actions, evaluate process/product performance, and
participate/interface with the engineering counterparts
on program activities to assure processes and products
are compliant to contractual requirements.
- Ability to evaluate data and provide solutions to
systemic issues and trends
- Provide inputs to the Systems/Software Quality
Engineering Lead to ensure sound labor estimates on
ECPs and on-going proposal efforts.
- Administer SSQA tasks, activities and events by maintaining current and real-time knowledge of
program needs and the activities supported.
- Continuous knowledge of program technical needs
and schedules to manage and communicate all
upcoming work activities of the SSQA team.
- Participate in the F-35 TS change control process
boards (ERC/CRB), as required.
- Witness F-35 TS integration and test activities and
formal quality testing, as required.
- Support security/information assurance activities, as
required
- Support deployment of F-35 TS deliverables to global
customer sites, ensuring successful customer
acceptance at site.
- Support F-35 TS production, test, and DCMA
acceptance at source efforts in between deployments.
- Ability to support flexible schedules to travel to
domestic and international customer sites to support
product installation and sell-off and audit activities as
needed.
- Support SSQA efforts for all TS activities including
(but not limited to) task scheduling and assignments,
work execution, and problem resolution.
- Participate in the F-35 TS Working Group and
Integrated Product Team meetings with the customer.
- Participate in F-35 TS Engineering Architectural
Review Board (EARB), as required.
- Support DCMA contract oversight data pull for TS
software process artifacts.
- Support F-35 TS Risk and Opportunity Management
reviews.
- Support Release Management planning meetings.
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math,
Engineering, Science or a related discipline, or any
other degree with comparable Quality experience.
-Experience in one or more of the following areas:
statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling,
six sigma or root cause analysis.
-Experience with details of individual aspects of the software lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Coding,
Unit Testing, Formal Testing, Integration & Testing,
Release, Configuration Management, Problem
Resolution)
-Experience performing data analytics (e.g. statistical
analysis and/or metrics).
-AS9100 knowledge.
-Proven audit experience.
-Use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
-Familiarity with System & Software Engineering
requirements, design, integration and test.
-Extensive understanding of software dependencies,
development lifecycles, process flow and development
methodologies.
-Must be able to manage multiple priorities and have
strong documentation and follow through skills. Must
be able to lead independently.
-Interim secret clearance required prior to start

-Excellent communication skills. Must have a
demonstrated history of strong performance and ability
to take initiative and lead across a variety of QA
responsibilities and tasks on development and/or
sustainment programs.

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
