Our labor force is healing!

Quick note about the state of the job market.

As of August of 2021 is safe to say the work force is slowly approaching to a pre-pandemic numbers and eventually be back to normal.

July reports 943.000 new jobs and has reached an average of 832.000 over the last 3 months the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Unemployment has decreased by 0.5 % from the previous month of June and things seem to be coming together at a pace.

Marty Walsh, the U.S. Secretary of Labor issued a statement on August 6th containing the changes in the work force during the month of July and added:

“Our labor force is healing, our economy is reopening, and people are getting back to work, but we still have a way to go. Economic recovery depends on our commitment to public health, so I urge every eligible person to get vaccinated against COVID-19 who has not done so already. It’s how to protect yourself, protect your family, and help our economy move forward.

“We head toward Labor Day with work to do, but with momentum and with hope. We have the opportunity to create millions of good jobs through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal, as well as empower working families and create a more inclusive workforce through the President’s Build Back Better Agenda.”
