NDEAM 2022: Employer Chat on Workplace Mental Health & Well Being

The following video is a recording of the U.S. Department of Labor’s “Employer Chat on Workplace Mental Health and Well-Being” held live on October 13, 2022, in honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). The event stage is set up with a podium and five chairs in front of a backdrop featuring artwork from the 2022 NDEAM poster, which says “Disability: Part of the Equity Equation” as well as the event name.

The event features remarks from U.S. Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh and Assistant Secretary of Labor for Disability Employment Policy Taryn Williams in addition to four panelists. During their opening remarks, both Walsh and Williams stand at the podium. During the panel discussion, they sit down with three of the four panelists. At this point, seated left to right are:

· Assistant Secretary of Labor for Disability Employment Policy Taryn Williams;

· U.S. Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh;

· Jon Murphy, Senior EAP Counselor at the U.S. Congress and member of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association;

· Katherine Pérez, Inaugural Director at the Coelho Center for Disability Law, Policy, and Innovation; and

· Frank Giampietro, Chief Well-Being Officer at EY Americas.

One panelist, Sohini Stone, Chief Medical Officer for Global Employee Health at Google, joins the event via video. Also, throughout the video, an ASL interpreter appears in a window in the bottom right-hand corner.
