MEDICAL BILLER

Our client a world-leading specialized healthcare company needs a Medical Biller to join their expanding team. This role has the opportunity for growth professionally within the growing team.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE:

$17 – $20/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Medical Biller will be responsible for application of all payments in a manner that will provide for accurate and timely posting of the assigned accounts receivable. The Medical Biller must be a motivated problem solver with knowledge of Medial Billing who can collaborate effectively with a fast-paced environment in a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MEDICAL BILLER:

• Responsible for application of all payments in a manner that will provide for accurate and timely posting of the assigned accounts receivable
• Must be a motivated problem solver with knowledge of Medial Billing who can collaborate effectively with a fast-paced environment in a team
• Post all insurance, managed care, and patient payments/denials, inclusive of offsets to customer accounts in a timely manner
• Apply contractual adjustments in accordance with payer fee schedules
• Reconcile entire remittance advices
• Identify and report payment inconsistencies
• Adhere to standards, policies and procedures measured by KPI
• Engage in collection management processes

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MEDICAL BILLER:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in Medical billing or cash applications for a Medical practice or hospital required
• Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) required
• Knowledge of medical billing
• Medicaid enrollment experience is a plus
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Ability to multitask and manage time

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or GED is required
