Our client is advocating for change, and creating a new infrastructure that treats people as a priority and connects the provider and patient. They are seeking an\u00a0Oncology Nurse<\/strong>\u00a0who will assist in transforming the cancer system for the better!<\/p>\n

SALARY\/HOURLY RATE:<\/h3>\n

$39.90\/hr<\/p>\n

POSITION OVERVIEW:<\/h3>\n

The Oncology Nurse will assist with guiding cancer patients through a complex healthcare system by providing personalized support, quality resources and quick access to high-value care. The\u00a0Oncology Nurse assists with clinical support such as symptom management, nutritional support, coordinating discharge, connecting members to high quality providers, and supporting readmission preventions.<\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ONCOLOGY NURSE:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with your members, including listening and empathy with every interaction<\/li>\n
  • Embrace Care Team policies and procedures, escalation pathways, communications best practices, and documentation standards<\/li>\n
  • Engage and support our members in compliance with efficiency metrics and quality standards<\/li>\n
  • Support members and partner with providers in the oncology care continuum from screening, diagnosis, surgery, and ongoing treatment to survivorship or end-of-life<\/li>\n
  • Be able to identify and prioritize a member’s needs and assist them with care coordination<\/li>\n
  • Monitor member progress, provide regular updates, and establish targeted support plans with the healthcare team in case conferences<\/li>\n
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with payers and providers to optimize care and prevent readmissions for our members<\/li>\n
  • Partner with non-clinical Care Team members to support the member\u2019s social determinants of health needs, for example, food resources, transportation access, support at home<\/li>\n
  • Be available for urgent clinical escalations and clinical consult support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ONCOLOGY NURSE:<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Must have active Compact Nursing License<\/li>\n
    • Must be able to work the required hours of 11:30AM-8PM EST (OPEN TO ALL TIMEZONES)<\/li>\n
    • Willingness to complete ongoing required state licensure as needed<\/li>\n
    • Must be Bilingual in Spanish<\/li>\n
    • Must have at least 4 to 5 years of experience with 3 years focus on oncology nursing or case management<\/li>\n
    • Must have excellent\/effective written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n
    • Must be mindful of members and act with compassion<\/li>\n
    • Ability to take initiative and adjust to fast paced environment<\/li>\n
    • Ability to prioritize patient needs and cater to each individual<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • RN and BSN is required<\/li>\n
      • Must have completed Bachelor\u2019s of Science in Nursing<\/li>\n
      • Unrestricted RN degree required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
