Job Title: Welder\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

TMD Staffing is actively recruiting a Welder for an indoor-facility in Cedar Park, Texas!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties pertaining to the position, rework, fit, and weld according to written and typed instructions, blueprints, manufacturers specifications, and knowledge of characteristics of metal and select equipment and plan layout, fabrication, assembly, and welding. This is an indoor position with facility heating and air conditioning available. Day Shift hours.<\/p>\n

TOP SKILLS NEEDED:<\/strong>
\n5+ Years of TIG Welding experience on sheet metal
\nExperience writing programs on robot welding machines using Fanuc Controls
\nMust be Team-Focused
\nFocused on job completion
\nMust be dependable and reliable
\n1+ Year of Robot Welder Machine Programming experience required (Very Important Skill!)<\/p>\n

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong>
\nLay out, position, align and fit components together using applicable machines, tools, and equipment.
\nBolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for final welding.
\nSet up and weld parts using welding equipment.
\nMaintain sufficient knowledge of geometry, arithmetic, structural design, heat effects, and allowances for the thickness of metal to project the location of holes, cuts, and bends from blueprints, written and typed instructions, and manufacturer’s specifications.
\nUse hand tools and be able to correctly set up and operate applicable shop machines.
\nPerform arc and oxy-acetylene welding, cutting, and brazing on various ferrous and nonferrous metals, in accordance with established methods and procedures.
\nMaintain production documentation per required procedure.
\nPerform other work-related tasks as assigned.
\nComply with all company and HSE policies and procedures<\/p>\n

FACILITY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong>
\nPerforms intermediate and precision welding techniques.
\nDesigns, fabricates, joins and\/or repairs space-age metals, and scientific and research components using oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, and TIG welding techniques.
\nOperates drill presses, power saws, grinders, positioners, and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools. May also perform minor operations on metal lathes and milling machines.
\nAnalyzes plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements, sequence of welding assignments, and personnel needs.<\/p>\n

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>High school graduate or GED
\nCompletion of an accredited two-year welder’s training program and 4 years of welding experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and\/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved equating to 6 or more years total.<\/p>\n

4 years of experience welding using TIG and MIG on thin material, is required.
\n4 years of experience using spot welding machines, is required.
\nAble to set up and run ARC stud, and spot welding required.<\/p>\n

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong>
\nSkilled in the fabrication, joining, and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures, and structures.
\nSet up and use of Laser Welder in a production environment preferred
\nKnowledge of applicable codes.
\nKnowledge of welding techniques (oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, TIG, and MIG-controlled atmosphere, tools, and equipment.
\nKnowledge of non-destructive inspection techniques.
\nProgram, set up, and run weld jobs on robot welding machines utilizing FANUC controls.<\/p>\n

WORKING CONDITIONS:<\/strong>
\nWorking conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
\nWork involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 40 pounds.
\nMachinery operation requires the use of safety equipment including but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hard hats.
\nLoose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
\nStanding 65% of the time
\nSome Overtime needed
\nWorks under immediate supervision<\/p>\n

Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM<\/p>\n
