SALARY\/HOURLY RATE:<\/h3>\n

$45k – $60k<\/p>\n

POSITION OVERVIEW:<\/h3>\n

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for all areas of accounting, including, but not limited to, AR, AP, fixed assets, inventory, general ledger, financial statements and sales tax.<\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Accounts receivable responsibilities including reviewing and posting payments daily, then reconciling A\/R aging weekly<\/li>\n
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily<\/li>\n
  • Accounts payable duties that include entering bills daily, receiving purchase orders, and processing timely payments<\/li>\n
  • Record assets, set useful life, and maintain roll-forward schedule regarding fixed assets<\/li>\n
  • Verify item receipts and help resolve discrepancies with Operations teams<\/li>\n
  • Process sales tax returns monthly<\/li>\n
  • Post journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts pertaining to the general ledger<\/li>\n
  • Assist in preparations of the financial reporting package monthly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    QUALIFICATIONS OF THE JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT:<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • 1 – 5 years of experience in an accounting department for small to midsize business<\/li>\n
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work with all departments<\/li>\n
    • Strong analytical skills Keen attention to detail<\/li>\n
    • Strong problem-solving skills<\/li>\n
    • Ability to function with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously<\/li>\n
    • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:<\/h3>\n

      • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business with an Accounting or Finance concentration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
