{"id":24471,"date":"2022-09-14T13:17:32","date_gmt":"2022-09-14T17:17:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobbinghood.com\/jobs\/listing\/construction-specialist\/"},"modified":"2022-09-14T13:17:42","modified_gmt":"2022-09-14T17:17:42","slug":"construction-specialist","status":"publish","type":"rtcl_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobbinghood.com\/jobs\/listing\/construction-specialist\/","title":{"rendered":"Construction Specialist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Position Function<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Supply skilled labor in concrete construction and maintenance of City?s stormwater system.<\/p>\n<p><b>Tasks\/Duties<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform all concrete type work: foundations, spillways, retaining walls, rip rap dams, walls, sidewalks, inlets and outfalls, and assist in all concrete maintenance duties.<\/li>\n<li>Block and brick laying, carpentry work and making forms.<\/li>\n<li>Removal of sod, digging and setting forms; mixing, pouring and finishing concrete, installation of drainage pipes and maintenance of City retention ponds, including mowing.<\/li>\n<li>Drive dump truck (Under 26,000 lbs) and operate light\/heavy equipment including but not limited to: concrete mixer, concrete saws, compressors, generators, pumps, mowers; and able to use small hand tools and concrete finishing tools.<\/li>\n<li>Assist Streets and Sanitation in spring clean-up, roadway repairs, and emergency situations.<\/li>\n<li>Able to work from a boat and assist in the operation and maintenance of stormwater pumps and aquatic weed control.<\/li>\n<li>Must be available for emergency callouts and on call duty.<\/li>\n<li>Perform additional duties, as assigned.<\/li>\n<li>To communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and follow oral &amp; written instructions.<\/li>\n<li>* Drive Lightning Loader and Dumptruck (26,000 lbs or more) as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Six (6) months experience finishing concrete, block and brick-work, or one (1) year experience in a construction trade.<\/li>\n<li>Valid Driver License. Must obtain Florida driver license within thirty (30) days of employment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in the installation of storm drainage pipes.<\/li>\n<li>General carpentry skills.<\/li>\n<li>Class C Stormwater license.<\/li>\n<li>*Valid State of Florida Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) with air brake endorsement.<\/li>\n<li>Qualified Stormwater Management Inspector (Erosion and Sediment Control).<\/li>\n<li>Completion of the following NIMS Courses within designated amount of time from employment date:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic IS-700 (6 months)<\/li>\n<li>ICS-100 (6 months).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Supplemental Information<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Position is considered at-risk for exposure to Hepatitis B during performance of regular duties.
