Job Title: Assistant Studio Manager Fitness / Sales Manager

Reports to: Studio Manager

Location: The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon

  • The Assistant Studio Manager Fitness / Sales Manager will support the Studio Manager to oversee all aspects of sales and operations with emphasis on the Customer Journey.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the sales and membership processes to ensure the studio meets sales goals and that customer service experience is upheld to the highest of standards.
  • The candidate must have strong customer service skills, knowledge of basic computer functions, be able to communicate in an effective and efficient way, be team-oriented, and have a drive and passion for sales and service.

THE SKILLS YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 1-2 years of retail/service sales experience required; fitness sales experience strongly preferred
  • Must be high energy, personable, positive, coachable, detail-oriented, a self-starter with proven ability to excel in a fast-changing environment
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone, text communication and via email
  • Proficient with computers, studio management software, Microsoft Office products, and social media;
  • Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgement
  • Professional, punctual, reliable, and neat
  • Confident in generating personal sales and training sales associates in effective sales techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Trustworthy and ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients and the general public

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL BE DOING IT:

  • Manage Lead Generation, Sales & Marketing and Customer Experience
  • The Assistant Studio Manager is responsible for overall lead generation goals, leading to increased membership sales.
  • Manage lead flow and sales processes, ensuring all leads are followed up on in a timely manner.
  • Consistent evaluation with improvements made when applicable to the overall customer journey and experience.
  • Partner with the Studio Manager to find, schedule, and attend appropriate community events to create brand presence and generate leads.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals as established by the Studio Manager / Studio Owners.
  • Partner with Studio Manager and Studio Owners to create and execute ongoing marketing plans based on studio needs, with a focus on new member acquisition, retention and loyalty.
  • Showcase extensive knowledge about our brand, offerings, and pricing to actively promote memberships and teacher training programs.
  • Build relationships and understand a prospects fitness goals, and present available services to help them achieve goals.
  • Conduct studio tours with prospects to build rapport to facilitate sales; book appointments for and follow up after initial class visits.
  • Sell retail items and answer questions about brands.
  • Work closely with the Studio Manager to ensure health and profitability of the studio.
  • Manage Customer Service & Member Retention needs.
  • The Assistant Studio Manager works front desk shifts as needed at the studio(s).
  • Assist students in choosing classes that fit their goals by showing extensive knowledge of our offerings.
  • Greet all members, guests and team members with the highest level of customer service.
  • Enroll and check students into the studio through the ClubReady system.
  • Assist members with in-person and phone inquiries regarding membership policies.
  • Support Studio Manager with studio billing matters; manage member freezes; resolve customer service issues as they arise.
  • Guide Studio Operations & Retail Processes
  • The Assistant Studio Manager maintains a clean and safe studio during shifts by assisting with cleaning tasks as directed by Studio Manager or company policies.
  • Follow all procedures established to operate the studio in accordance with government health directives and guidelines.
  • Participate in studio, regional and company-wide meetings and trainings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate data in all appropriate systems for reporting and statistical purposes.
  • Report any studio issues per Company policy.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
  • May be required to sit or stand for up to four hours at a time. May be required to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to bend, lift, kneel, and drive a car. This job requires the person to climb up and down flights of stairs as elevators are not present at all locations. May be asked to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
  • This position will be encouraged to take all of the classes offered in the studio. This is important for when team members are recommending classes to members and prospects so each person is set-up for a successful and positive class experience that meets their needs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus
  • Must be able to effectively hear in person and via telephone
